geosomatics.

For clients interested in longer sessions, one-off sessions or ad-hoc meets of bespoke length I offer a variety of full day experiences and sessions in the Peak District, UK. You may be looking for a new way of approaching an old problem - more interested in an encounter with nature - or you may have specific goals in mind!

I have been moving in the mountains of the world for many years, and know the power of the outdoors for motivating and facilitating big changes. My specialism is helping you work with the landscape to explore your most pressing and knotty material. My methods are bespoke to you but will include body and movement oriented exploration, engagement with the hard and soft landscape, and creative exercises to help you find your own intuition and wisdom. As a geo-therapist (psychotherapist and geologist!) I am particularly interested in getting people into an embodied conversation with rock - this is what I call ‘Geosomatics’, of which I am pioneering new methods of engaging with the natural world.

These sessions are suited to anyone working on a specific issue into which they want to deep-dive. They also suit those on the edge of a decision, or for people who want to work and walk through the complexity of an issue that requires more than an hour or two to get the measure of. Alternatively, you may simply want to explore a new way of being within nature.

A full day starts from £600.

“How can we move towards a geosomatics of substance?”

Pioneering geosomatics

My geosomatic approach focuses on how we can connect with the rocky environment including bedrock, outcrop, boulders and other solid geologic terrains. It is a practice of tuning in, inside and out connecting
