Enabling you to think, feel, move & write differently. Exploring how to live. Nurturing your ecological self back to life.

Ruth Allen, PhD (MNCPS)

Ruth is a writer, embodied outdoor psychotherapist and facilitator working primarily outdoors in landscape, and online. Combining her background in geology, with innovative body-based and creative techniques drawing on a multitude of teachings and influences, she offers therapy, mentoring, workshops, classes and adventure retreats - all practical, slow magic - designed to help others connect with their bodies and the rest of nature in expansive new ways, for the greater whole-health of planet and people.

A ‘breccia’ is a rock composed of fragments. Substack is my newsletter and writing portal for the words between books. It is about what rocks can teach us & other things. #

Journal pieces from my life alongside rock and animal kin, and the embodied writing process. Vignettes, brief contemplations, flash non-fiction, prose sketchbook and travel dispatches.

‘Here’ is a video I made in collaboration with Millican. It became a Staff Pick, and gives an overview of my work and philosophy of Nature Connection, that was later developed in my first book, Grounded
